Final Site Documentation and Analysis

East Boston: Water Front

East Boston is being considered as a site because of its ideal location on the waterfront, access to southern exposure light, and a neutral background. A color palette from a rich diverse community could be used in the design. This site is larger in comparison to the other site being considered.

MacMillan Pier, Provincetown, MA

MacMillan Pier in Provincetown, MA is being considered as a site because of its ideal location, southern exposure to light, flow of people, and a rich and diverse color palette. This size is manageable in scale.

I am heavily debating between the two sites because they both have similarities in light quality, water location, and reflectivity. However the diversity and color palettes are very different between the two locations. If I were to choose East Boston I would consider putting the program on the water and not utilize the existing dock. If I choose Provincetown I would utilize the dock. What draws me to Provincetown as a site is that their is this colorful diversity that is only displayed in a superficial manner and could be instead utilized in creating spatial experiences.
